Knights of Columbus Council 12851

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization with almost 2 million members. The Order’s principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism guide the good works performed by the Knights.  This work ranges from prayer and unwavering support of the unborn to an anti-drug youth poster contests in local schools, fostering vocations to the priesthood, and supporting seminarians.
The Knights charity work supports the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and takes on special projects like funding the St. Francis of Assisi statue in our parish. The Knights also sponsor the Sunday morning coffee and donuts in the parish hall for parishioners to meet and socialize after the Sunday morning Masses. They provide free booklets on the Catholic faith in their rack in church.

The Knights help set up the Christmas displays at the church; run a program for the intellectually challenged with funds raised by Tootsie Roll drive; handle special materials, literature and work details as requested by our Pastor; and hold events where parishioners as well as Knights may join together in a social setting for fellowship.

The photo shown here was taken upon the installation of the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Prayer Garden for the Unborn which has memorial bricks honoring children who were miscarried, stillborn or aborted.

This is a photo of some of the Knights on Bikes while they gathered in front of our church for a blessing by Fr. Hans Ruygt, before their June 2018  trip up to pray the Stations of the Cross at the Shrine of Saint Joseph, Yarnell, Arizona. Many Knights on Bikes gathered from around the region for the early morning ride and prayers.
